Job Title : Monitoring Support Engineer

Job Summary :
We are seeking a proactive Monitoring Support Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for real-time monitoring of IT systems, identifying potential disruptions, and ensuring timely escalation and resolution. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the availability, performance, and health of enterprise infrastructure including servers, networks, storage, and applications.
Key Responsibilities :
- Monitor infrastructure (servers, applications, networks, databases, etc.) using tools such as SolarWinds, Zabbix, Nagios, PRTG, SCOM, Grafana, or equivalent.
- Respond to alerts and incidents in real-time and ensure appropriate escalations as per defined SLAs.
- Perform initial triage, document issues clearly, and support L2 / L3 teams in troubleshooting and resolution.
- Ensure all events, alerts, and incidents are logged, tracked, and updated in the ITSM tool (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Support onboarding and configuration of new assets and devices into the monitoring system.
- Generate daily / weekly performance and health reports for critical infrastructure.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to refine monitoring thresholds and policies.
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives including tuning alerts, eliminating false positives, and improving response times.
Required Skills & Experience :
2+ years of experience in IT infrastructure monitoring or NOC environment.Hands-on experience with at least one enterprise-grade monitoring platform (e.g., SolarWinds, SCOM, Nagios, PRTG).Basic understanding of Windows / Linux server operations, networking, and application architecture.Strong analytical and documentation skills.Good communication skills to coordinate with technical and non-technical teams.Willingness to work in shifts, including nights and weekends, as part of a 24x7 support model.
