Job descriptionKeep track of developments in the international domain with particular focus on Africa Ability to spot important areas for focus in India – Africa economic relationships Ability to identify Indian companies with business interests in Africa and develop strong relationships with them Ability to communicate with key members and persuade them to join for FICCI engagements Handle primary / secondary research for African region Manage activities required to be undertaken under FICCI Africa Councils Maintain and update FICCI Africa Council lists from time to time Conceptualize events on topics of interest to Indian businesses as per advice of the leaderships Interest for organising conferences, roundtables, webinars, investor meets, exhibitions, B2B meetings as required from time to time Maintain and update database of Indian Missions and Foreign Missions for African countries Maintain close relations with the Regional Desks at the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and DOC and DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI), Govt. of India, Indian and Foreign missions Network / collaborate with FICCI MOU Partners / chamber counterparts on joint initiatives in this region Handle responsibilities for inbound and outbound delegations Prepare concept notes, Background Papers, Presentations etc. Enthusiasm to raise funding / sponsorships for events Membership development and servicing of existing members Keep a close watch on the activities / events of other organisations that are similar to FICCI and operate in the same regions Support the team leader in meeting the goals set for the Division Understanding of policy landscape, investment promotion, international trade, business priorities in African countries Basic understanding of the working of Govt of India, State Governments, Investment Authorities and Key line Ministries Good letter drafting and report making skills Strong Research and Analytical skills Good Computer Skills Ability to make prompt and crisp social media tweets, posts and coordinate with social media team of FICCI Preparation of post event reports, Executive Committee briefs, Inputs for FICCI Magazine etc in a time bound manner post completion of events A self-starter with passion for initiatives in Africa Attention to details, ability to multitask on projects and work under pressure Good written and verbal communication skills Good interpersonal skills Good team player with team goal in mind when working on projects
We are looking for :
- PG in International Business / Economics / MBA / MBE / Public Policy with 12 – 18 years of experience
