Job Summary :

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Merchandiser with strong communication and negotiation skills to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a background in the fashion & lifestyle industry. Hands-on experience in coordinating with multiple vendors, production follow-ups, and product development. Proficiency in Excel & Google Sheets is essential. The role demands adaptability, a learning mindset, and a willingness to travel as required.

Key Responsibilities :

Vendor Management & Negotiation

Identify, evaluate, and manage vendor relationships.

Negotiate pricing, lead times, and payment terms

Ensure vendor compliance with quality, timelines, and specifications

Product Development & Sampling

Work closely with design and production teams for sampling & prototyping

Track sample development and communicate feedback for revisions

Maintain accurate sample records and approvals

Production Follow-ups

Oversee production timelines and ensure timely deliveries

Coordinate with vendors for order execution, quality checks, and dispatches

Troubleshoot delays or issues proactively

Data Management & Reporting

Maintain detailed trackers in Excel / Google Sheets (including advanced formulas)

Generate reports on vendor performance, costing, order status, etc.

Analyze data for cost savings and process improvements

Communication & Coordination

Act as the point of contact between internal teams (design, QC, logistics) and vendors

Communicate clearly and professionally in written and verbal formats

Schedule and document meetings, calls, and follow-ups effectively

Travel & Market Research

Willingness to travel for vendor visits, production checks, trade shows, etc.

Stay updated with industry trends and materials

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field

1-5 years of experience in merchandising

Proven experience in vendor handling, production follow-ups, and sampling

Strong command over MS Excel and Google Sheets (including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)

Excellent negotiation and communication skills

Highly organized, self-motivated, and adaptable

Comfortable with frequent travel

Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
