Hardware RD Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hardware Development Engineer to design, develop, and maintain test systems and fixtures for consumer electronics hardware. The role requires close collaboration with R&D, validation, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust, cost-effective, and scalable testing solutions that ensure product quality and reliability.

Responsibilities

Design and develop custom hardware test fixtures (mechanical, electrical, and mixed-signal interfaces) to support product validation and manufacturing.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, validation, firmware, and manufacturing) to define test requirements and methodologies.

Work on schematic design, PCB layout, and integration for test boards and interface hardware.

Develop and validate test automation hardware setups in coordination with software engineers.

Conduct failure analysis, troubleshooting, and root-cause investigations on test hardware.

Ensure test fixture designs meet safety, reliability, and compliance standards.

Manage vendor interactions for fixture fabrication, components, and assembly.

Document designs, processes, and test procedures for smooth handover to production teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.

2–5 years of experience in hardware development, preferably in consumer electronics.

Strong knowledge of electronics design (analog / digital circuits, signal integrity, PCB design).
