Job Description (Responsibilities & Qualification)
Responsibilities :
- Update of general ledger accounts in Accounting ERP
- Act as the 1st level review / quality control and escalate as needed.
- Preparation / Review of Financial Statements, working papers and deliverables to Board /
Management, Auditors and Regulatory Authorities.
Prepare and / or review the supporting calculations.Prepare / Review US GAAP, Bermuda / Cayman Stat, and Economic Balance Sheet financialstatements.
Support in preparation / review of Bermuda Solvency and Capital return / Cayman Annualreturn.
Manage Cedant reporting.Coordinate with the broader team and Insurance Managers on deliverables across multipleteams and functions.
Provide support, for the annual audit, internal audit, quarterly regulatory filings, and boardmeetings.
Provide ad hoc support as necessary.Review and assess thresholds for assets impairment in co-ordination with Investmentmanagers and as per treaty conditions.
Requirements
US / India Life and Retirement Products exposure. Traditional and / or Annuity productspreferred
Qualified CA / CPA with an open mindset to learn new concepts.4 - 6 years of insurance / controllership or fund accounting experience related to month endclosings, annual audit process, and regulatory filings (preferred to have experience with the
Bermuda Monetary Authority / Cayman filings)
Experience with designing and creating reconciliation tools and variance reporting.Strong analytical skills and ability to adopt a creative approach to solving complex processproblems.
Ability to manage multiple work assignments and meet time commitments.Strong oral and written communication skills Qualification : CA / CPA (required) Experience : 4-6 years of post-qualification
