Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand requirements and feature specifications for Android automotive systems.
  • Perform Android 14 platform analysis and identify AOSP extension areas.
  • Design and implement AOSP extensions for automotive applications.
  • Develop and integrate Android Middleware components for infotainment and cluster systems.
  • Migrate / reuse existing middleware components into Android 14 .
  • Create detailed test specifications and execute test cases.
  • Perform regression testing and automation (as required).
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve system-level and middleware issues.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 12–16 years of experience in Android automotive-based development, especially in the AOSP area.
  • Strong experience in Software Architecture analysis and design .
  • Proven expertise in middleware component development for infotainment and cluster systems.
  • Proficient programming skills in Java and C++ .
  • Hands-on experience with GIT and Gerrit version control systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex middleware and system-level issues.

    • Preferred Attributes

  • Exposure to Android 14 migration and platform upgrade projects.
  • Experience in automation frameworks and scripting.
  • Familiarity with automotive standards and protocols.
