Role Overview
The Senior Executive – R&D will be responsible for developing innovative cosmetic and personal care products, ensuring smooth technology transfer, and supporting scale-up from lab to production. This role requires hands-on formulation expertise, regulatory awareness, project management capability, and leadership to drive product innovation while meeting customer expectations and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1.Product Development & Innovation
- Develop new formulations based on customer briefs, market trends, and scientific innovation.
- Conduct research on new cosmetic ingredients and improve existing product formulations.
- Ensure prototypes meet safety, stability, efficacy, and sensory requirements.
2.Technology Transfer & Scale-Up
Lead technology transfer of formulations from R&D to manufacturing, ensuring scalability, consistency, and efficiency.Support pilot batches and scale-up trials, resolving issues related to product stability or performance.3.Testing & Compliance
Conduct and oversee product testing, including stability studies and performance evaluations.Maintain accurate records, formulation documents, and test reports in compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.Ensure all R&D activities meet internal SOPs, GMP standards, and applicable laws / regulations.4.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with manufacturing, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, procurement, and marketing teams to align R&D outcomes with business goals.Provide timely project updates, progress reports, and status reviews to reporting manager and senior management.5.Leadership & Mentorship
Guide and mentor junior R&D team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.Support team development through training and knowledge sharing.6.Problem-Solving & Continuous Improvement
Investigate and troubleshoot formulation or production issues to ensure successful product outcomes.Continuously monitor industry trends, competitor innovations, and new technologies to drive product differentiation.Qualifications & Skills
Education : Master’s / Bachelor’s in Cosmetic Science, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.Experience : 4–7 years in cosmetic or personal care R&D with proven track record of formulation development.Technical Skills : Strong knowledge of cosmetic ingredients, stability testing, scale-up processes, GMP, and regulatory requirements.Soft Skills : Excellent project management, communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.Why Join KAIN Cosmeceuticals?
