About the Role :

Investec UK Bank Technology is looking for a Data and Analytics Solutions Architect to lead and support architecture activities that guide the development and management of our Data and Analytics solutions proactively and holistically. You will play a critical role in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions that meet the needs of our organization. The solutions architect will need to have a deep understanding of business goals, value streams, objectives and business outcomes, business capabilities and business processes. The solution architect must be able to provide the necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks related to support the development of technology solutions to ensure that solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards. The solutions architect must be able to create deliverables for managing the organization's portfolio of current state and target state solutions.

Key Roles and Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data architectures support business needs, enhance data quality, and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to data engineering teams during the implementation phase, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with orchestrating data movement and transformation processes from various sources to Azure-based data products.
• Knowledge of building and managing data warehouses, including performance tuning and scalability considerations.
• Expertise in creating conceptual, logical and physical data models suitable for Azure data products, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Familiarity with Azure Databricks, Synapse and Microsoft Fabric for processing and analysing large datasets using big data frameworks like Apache Spark and Hadoop.
• Experience with implementing real-time data ingestion and processing solutions.
• Understanding of data security best practices in the cloud, including encryption, access control, and compliance with regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
