Job descriptionDraft, negotiate, and execute project contracts, work orders, MOUs, SLAs, and vendor agreements Ensure risk mitigation clauses, liability coverage, and compliance are included in contracts Monitor contractual obligations, performance, milestones, and deliverables Handle claims, disputes, and contract amendments with contractors Approve vendor quotations and project-related procurement proposals in line with budget Monitor project cost control, savings, and commercial viability Track change orders, variations, and project financial implications Ensure all project commercial transactions comply with company policies Evaluate and onboard contractors and suppliers for project execution Monitor vendor performance against KPIs, timelines, and quality standards Conduct periodic audits of vendor / project accounts Build strategic partnerships with contractors for long-term projects Lead and mentor the project procurement and contracts team Ensure proper implementation of SOPs, approval workflows, and procurement policies for projects Prepare MIS reports for project status, cost tracking, and risk reporting Drive ERP / project management tool adoption Ensure project procurement and contracts comply with legal, statutory, and audit requirements Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to suppliers, contracts, or project delays Maintain all project contract documents and approvals for audit readiness Graduate / Postgraduate in Engineering MBA / PG Diploma in Supply Chain / Procurement / Project Management preferred 15+ years of experience in project procurement, contracts, and commercial management Experience in large-scale capital projects / hospital projects preferred
Role Summary
The Head – Procurement, Contracts & Commercial Manager (Projects) will oversee end-to-end procurement, contracting, and commercial management for project execution. The role ensures timely availability of materials, services, and contractors, while managing budgets, minimizing risks, and ensuring project profitability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Procurement & Sourcing
- Develop and implement project-specific procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and budgets
- Procure raw materials, equipment, services, and outsourced contractors for construction, installation, or capital projects
- Evaluate vendors based on capability, quality, cost, and delivery performance
- Maintain supplier database for strategic sourcing of project materials
