About the Role
The Figma UI / UX / CX Designer (Lead) is a senior design leadership role responsible for creating world-class user interfaces, user experiences, and customer journeys across all Oliya divisions - Academy (internal platforms), Digital Agency (client projects), and Oliya Labs (MVP incubation).
This role requires mastery of design systems, UX research, product design, accessibility, customer experience mapping , and hands-on proficiency across the complete creative toolchain (Figma, Canva, Adobe Suite, Hotjar, GA4, Looker Studio). You will define visual direction, build reusable component libraries, validate usability through testing, collaborate with engineering teams, and ensure every digital product meets enterprise-level design standards.
This is a pure design execution and leadership role - not a teaching or trainer role.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design Systems, Product Interfaces & UI Engineering
- Create and maintain full-scale Figma design systems including :
Design tokens (colour, typography, spacing, shadow, radius)
Global components (buttons, forms, modals, tables, cards)Variants, auto-layouts, constraintsGrid systems & responsive breakpointsDesign high-fidelity mobile-first interfaces for React Native & responsive web interfaces for React.Ensure pixel-perfect developer handoff using Figma Inspect mode.Build scalable UI architecture that supports rapid development.2. User Experience (UX) Design & Research
Conduct UX research using tools such as Hotjar, Google Analytics, and user-interview frameworks.Run usability tests and map friction points for continuous improvement.Create :User flows
Information architecture mapsWireframes (low mid high fidelity)Prototypes with animations and micro-interactionsEnsure designs follow WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.3. Customer Experience (CX) Mapping
Build omnichannel CX journey maps across web, mobile, CRM, WhatsApp, social media touchpoints.Collaborate with Digital Marketing Lead to ensure UI / UX supports conversion, engagement, retention.Translate business goals into UX outcomes through AIDA, RACE, and funnel-optimisation frameworks.4. Creative Direction & Branding
Define visual direction for :Websites
Mobile applicationsMarketing campaignsInternal dashboards & product UIsCreate brand identity assets using :Figma
Canva ProAdobe Photoshop / IllustratorProduce creative artefacts : landing pages, banners, social media templates, campaign assets.5. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Delivery
Work closely with :Front-End Lead (React / React Native)

Bring modern design trends into practice (Neumorphism, Glassmorphism, Material 3, Apple HIG alignment).Leverage AI tools such as Midjourney, Canva AI, ChatGPT, and Pictory for creative acceleration.Suggest UI / UX best practices based on global standards from Uber, Airbnb, Shopify, Microsoft, and BBC GEL.Technical & Creative Expertise Requirements
