English Educator Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled English instructor to support the academic development of student-athletes.
This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to integrate English instruction with athletic schedules, helping athletes excel academically and in sports.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering literacy skills, critical thinking, and effective communication in student-athletes while ensuring their educational success.
- Teach English Language and Literature for Grades 10–12 across multiple boards but teach a small group.
- Prepare students for board-level assessments.
- Design and deliver English communication and public speaking modules tailored to IIS athletes' needs.
- Classify athletes based on proficiency and create structured sessions accordingly.
- Focus on qualitative and quantitative outcomes in communication skill-building
- Contribute to the IIS Newsletter – content creation, editing, and mentoring
- Guide and prepare athletes for debates, media engagements, emceeing, and other institutional events
Key Responsibilities :
Coordinate with coaches, sports science staff, and academic staff to align communication training with athlete development.Collaborate with academic team members to ensure consistency in content delivery and student tracking.Work with event and media teams for smooth planning and representation of athletes in IIS activities.Contribute to interdisciplinary sessions and life skill modules involving communication, leadership, or presentation skills.Requirements :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Literature, or Communication.B.Ed. (mandatory for teaching under school board curricula).Prior experience teaching in a school setup.Demonstrated ability to create structured, outcome-oriented communication modules suited for the IIS environment.Preferred Qualifications :
2–4 years of teaching or communication training experience.Freshers with strong communication skills and the ability to meet role expectations are also welcome.Experience in speech training, debates, creative writing, or co-curricular mentoring is a plus.Comfort with blended / hybrid instruction and performance-based evaluation methods.About Us
