Job description

Role Title Commercial Officer - SCM Job Location

Worli, Mumbai

Reporting to Head, SCM

CTC Range 5 – 7 LPA

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

Sourcing and procurement of all type of renewable items like solar modules, MMS, cables, HT< panels, Transformers, SCADA, WMS, DWC pipes and Solar BOS items and other items as per organization requirement.

  • Checking of requisitions / requirement from user department for correctness and contents for necessary information required for procurement.
  • Prioritizing important material requirements as per user requirement and processing them at the earliest.
  • Float inquiries for supplies and services based on Purchase Requisitions received from Project Managers, ensuring all necessary specifications are met.
  • Analyzing quotations and bids based on the enquiries received from various vendors, negotiate and recommend execution of purchase for further approval process.
  • Obtain and evaluate techno-commercial offers from reputable vendors / suppliers, ensuring they are complete and submitted within the assigned time.
  • Create detailed comparative statements for offers received, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with the concerned project department to review and approve procurement decisions.
  • Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and Service Orders, ensuring that all terms and conditions are clearly outlined.
  • Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of suppliers and services, meeting all commercial and technical requirements.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is completed and accurately filed.
  • Coordinate with the Projects and Accounts departments to facilitate the release of payments, ensuring all conditions are met and documentation is in order.
  • Verification of bills and liaise with accounts department to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices as necessary for the business with the supplier.
  • Maintaining the supplier date base, purchase records and related documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP-MM Module.
  • Knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Act as a point of contact between the company and suppliers.
  • Developing New suppliers and evaluate existing vendors to meet company goals.
  • Preparation of Monthly MIS Data and reports.

Role Demands (Travel) As and when required.

Qualification B. Tech in Electrical. Mechanical Engg.
