Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the design and detailed engineering of static equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, reactors, columns, separators, storage tanks, etc.) in compliance with international codes and standards (ASME, TEMA, API, IS, etc.).
- Review client specifications, data sheets, and technical documents to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Develop and validate mechanical design calculations using tools such as PV Elite, Compress, or equivalent.
- Guide the preparation and review of fabrication drawings, MTOs, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and vendor documents.
- Manage a team of design and drafting engineers, ensuring timely delivery of engineering outputs.
- Coordinate with other disciplines (process, piping, civil, procurement, QA / QC) to ensure design integration.
- Participate in technical discussions, design reviews (3D model reviews, HAZOP, etc.), and vendor meetings.
- Review and approve engineering documents, ensuring quality and compliance with applicable codes.
- Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, and construction phases.
- Ensure compliance with project timelines, budgets, and client specifications.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)10–18 years of relevant experience in static equipment design for EPC / Oil & Gas / Petrochemical projectsPreferred Skills :
Strong expertise in design codes : ASME Sec VIII Div.1 & Div.2, TEMA, API 650 / 620, PD 5500, IS codesProficiency in design software : PV Elite, Compress, NozzlePro, AutoCAD, SolidWorks (or similar)Hands-on experience in fabrication drawings and vendor coordinationExcellent leadership, team management, and communication skillsUnderstanding of project lifecycle in EPC environmentSkills Required
