Jobsite contacts are with jobsite personnel including subcontractors / craft professionals and the customers resident engineering and operating personnel to coordinate construction activities.Major Responsibilities :
Monitors and organizes subcontractor activities, through coordination and instruction of subcontractor s management staff within the area of responsibility.Monitors subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material and equipment requirements.Reviews subcontractor construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.Coordinates the construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules.Monitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirementsEnforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management.Supports Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documentsCoordinates engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals.Coordinates with engineering on constructability issuesEducation and Experience Requirements :
A recognized degree in Electrical engineering or scientific discipline. Actual work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the technical knowledge described above.Required Knowledge and Skills :
Technical knowledge of all phases of Electrical construction activities relating to a single or multiple area including testing methods.Thorough knowledge of construction activities as they relate to engineering disciplines, cost and scheduling, and contract administration.Knowledge of Instrumentation engineering / construction activities is desirable.Knowledge of Indian standards and specification and codes as applicable, including various safety procedures and practices associated with the construction activities.Familiar with Bechtels Business Ethics handbook and policies.Knowledge and understanding of the application and requirements of the Project Environmental, Safety Health (ESH) Handbook and the Bechtel Core Processes as they relate to area of responsibility.Knowledge of project-specific environmental compliance requirements.Knowledge of Bechtels 'Zero Accidents' safety program.Knowledge of the use of subcontracts; knowledge of the contractor / subcontractors responsibilities contained in subcontract documents.Prior experience supervising and administering subcontractors / craft professionals.Skills Required
