Job descriptionB.Sc. / Diploma / B.E. in Electronics, Mechanical, Metallurgy, or related discipline Minimum 20 years of Experience. Commissioning and Operations of Copper Rod Plant Expertise in Reverberatory, Induction, and Shaft Melting Furnaces. Maintenance & Execution of Continuous Casting and Rolling (CCR) Plants. Quality Management and Safety Compliance. Inventory and Team Management. Process Control and Optimization. Training & Development of shift teams.
To manage and optimize production operations in a continuous copper rod plant, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality while driving process improvements and team development.
Role & Responsibility
- Lead and manage daily operations of the copper rod production plant (Continuous Casting and Rolling CCR).
- Oversee commissioning, maintenance, start-up, and shutdown of plant operations.
- Implement rigorous quality control standards to meet industry specifications.
- Ensure adherence to statutory compliance and safety protocols (Permit systems).
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance to reduce plant breakdown / downtime.
- Monitor and manage inventory to ensure uninterrupted production while minimizing waste.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and enhance plant productivity.
- Provide training, coaching, and performance assessments to enhance team skill sets.
- Liaise with suppliers / vendors to negotiate favorable terms for procurement of raw materials.
- Utilize data-driven insights to implement process improvements and reduce operational costs.
