Position Description

What is the role

SRAMI and Shell IT have jointly recognised the potential to improve their asset monitoring capability and reduce costs by moving to PowerBI reporting. Working in close partnership we have already built a number or reports to prove the capability. We now need to build a small team who can continue building reports and continuously improve the existing reports.

Key to the success of this team will be knowledge retention. Led by our IDT analytics lead, the DevOps team will regularly meet with the business to manage a backlog of reporting requirements. The scope is likely to change frequently, and the team will need to adapt to the priorities set by the business. It is essential that all reports are thoroughly documented and that business domain knowledge and experience in the DevOps team is retained as long as possible and any changes are proactively managed to minimise business disruption.

The focus of this team is not just report management. This team will be a partnership with the business to deliver real-time value adding insight by whatever means necessary to collaboratively improve business performance. The team will need to be proactive in developing knowledge, innovative and through leading in how they build insight, and bring new ideas using their business domain, AI and data processing skills.

Successful delivery will most likely open up other opportunities for reporting and business automation. So it is likely this role will transform and develop over time.

Must-Haves :

• A combination of PowerBI, PowerAutomate, and PowerApps (ideally knowledgeable in all 3, but could also work if some upskilling is needed in one of them).
• Build business and industry understanding through regular engagement with the SRAMI business and an interest in furthering their knowledge of the renewables industry.
• An enthusiasm for the role and a can do attitude. Our goal is to increase the profitability of this business and secure Shell s future in the energy transition bringing clean energy solutions to meet the ever increasing demand for energy from data centres, EVs, etc.
