Job description

We are looking for a sharp, resourceful, and passionate Journalist to join our editorial team. In this role, you will be expected to identify compelling stories, conduct in-depth research, and deliver original reporting that informs, engages, and resonates with our audience.

Key Responsibilitie

sPitch, research, and write original news stories and features on a consistent basis
.Conduct interviews with a wide range of sources, from public figures to everyday citizens with empathy and journalistic integrity
.Develop and maintain a network of sources in key sectors or beats
.Fact-check all information rigorously before publication
.Stay current with national and international news, and respond quickly to breaking stories where relevant
.Collaborate with editors, photographers, and other writers to produce high-quality content across formats (text, multimedia, digital)
.Use data, documents, and public records to strengthen reporting when applicable
.Occasionally travel for field reporting or on-the-ground assignments

We're Looking F

or2–3 years of experience in a newsroom, magazine, digital platform, or as a freelance journalis

t.A strong portfolio of published work features, reports, profiles, or investigation

s.Excellent command of written English (proficiency in additional Indian languages is a plus

).Solid understanding of journalistic ethics, sourcing, and accuracy standard

s.Strong interviewing and research skills with the ability to distil complex topics into accessible storytellin

g.Ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising on qualit

y.Comfortable with multimedia storytelling , photos, videos, or audio clips are a bonus, not a mus
