Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled FPGA Engineer to design and develop advanced FPGA-based solutions for embedded and industrial control systems . The role involves close collaboration with R&D teams, academic partners, and government organizations to bring innovative embedded control technologies from concept to deployable prototypes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and test FPGA-based architectures for real-time embedded and control systems.
- Use FPGA toolchains (e.g., Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, ModelSim) for simulation, synthesis, and timing optimization.
- Integrate FPGA logic with microcontrollers, x86, and ARM processors in mixed-architecture environments.
- Develop and debug embedded software components using C / C++ or Python.
- Collaborate on prototype transition from research to deployment in industrial or defense environments.
- Contribute to technical reports, publications, and patent filings documenting novel designs and system performance.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field .5+ years (B.S.) or 2+ years (M.S.) of professional FPGA design experience.Expertise in Verilog and / or VHDL for RTL design, simulation, and synthesis.Proficiency with Xilinx and / or Intel (Altera) FPGA toolchains — Vivado, Quartus, or ModelSim.Experience developing real-time embedded applications on FPGA, x86, or ARM platforms.Strong understanding of digital design principles , timing closure, and hardware-software integration.Working knowledge of C / C++ and Python for embedded development and test automation.Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.Preferred Skills
Background in control systems , signal processing , or hardware acceleration .Familiarity with high-speed interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, SPI, UART, I²C).Experience integrating FPGAs into industrial or mission-critical systems .Contributions to open-source hardware or embedded software projects .
