Role Overview :
We are looking for a Senior Associate – Back Office Operations as Fund Controller for our Hedge Fund, who will play a pivotal role in building and managing day-to-day operational workflows, fund administration coordination, trade settlement, and reconciliation processes for our AIF structures and PMS. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment and is eager to contribute to building operational infrastructure from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities :
Trade Lifecycle Management :
- Process and validate trades across equities, derivatives, and other instruments
- Coordinate with brokers, custodians, and fund administrators to ensure timely and accurate settlement
- Monitor and resolve trade breaks and exceptions promptly
Cash, Position & NAV Reconciliations :
Perform daily reconciliation of fund accounts, cash balances, open positions, and NAV with custodians and administratorsInvestigate discrepancies and ensure resolution within prescribed timelinesFund Administration & Investor Operations :
Liaise with fund administrators for NAV validation, performance fee calculations, and investor reportingSupport onboarding of investors, subscription / redemption processes, and capital activity recordsCoordinate with compliance for reporting and regulatory filings (SEBI, IFSCA, etc.)Operational Reporting & Documentation :
Generate daily P&L and exposure reports for internal stakeholdersMaintain robust documentation and audit trails for all operational activitiesAssist with internal and external audits, including responding to data requestsProcess Development & Controls :
Contribute to the creation and enhancement of SOPs and operational control frameworksAssist in the evaluation and implementation of technology tools for automation and scaleCandidate Profile :
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CA / MBA is an advantage)3–7 years of experience in hedge fund operations, fund administration, PMS / AIF operations, or similar rolesSolid understanding of financial instruments, particularly equities and derivativesExperience with fund accounting and knowledge of GIFT City / IFSCA regulatory framework preferredHands-on, proactive mindset with the ability to build processes from scratchProficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with reconciliation or OMS platformsStrong communication skills and comfort working with senior stakeholders and third-party vendorsWhat We Offer :
