Our services include fake account detection, deepfake identification, and automated takedown engines.

Role Description

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help build the systems powering our platform. You'll play a key role in designing and developing scalable APIs and backend services that support large scale data processing and collaboration features. This is a highly cross-functional role where you’ll work closely with product managers, frontend developers, and fellow backend engineers to deliver performant and reliable features end to end.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that are secure, reliable, and scalable
Build backend applications using microservices architecture and serverless technologies (e.g., AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, etc.)
Work with product and frontend teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Write clean, maintainable code with appropriate unit and integration test coverage
Optimize performance of data workflows, API endpoints, and service infrastructure
Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and platform design sessions
Contribute to deployment, monitoring, and debugging of production services
Help maintain a high engineering standard and share knowledge across the team

Qualifications :

5+ years of backend engineering experience, preferably in a fast-paced or high-growth environment

Strong understanding of backend architecture, distributed systems, and API design principles

Proficiency in at least one of : JavaScript (Node.js) or Python

Experience working with databases (relational or NoSQL) and designing performant schemas

Familiarity with cloud services (AWS preferred) and containerized deployments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

Ability to write well-tested code and build reliable services with automated CI / CD workflows

Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially working with cross-functional teams

Nice to Have :

Prior experience working with DynamoDB or other NoSQL systems at scale

Exposure to rate limiting, content processing, or event-driven architectures

Experience with authentication, permissions, or API gateway design
