About the Company


Softcell is an Apple Business Partner focused on the enterprise / corporate customer base. We are seeking Jamf Pro On-Premise Support Resident Engineers (L1 and L2) to manage, maintain, and support the Jamf Pro on-prem infrastructure and Apple device management environment. The role requires hands-on expertise with Jamf Pro administration, server maintenance, scripting, and coordination with internal IT teams to ensure platform stability and compliance.

About the Role


The role requires hands-on expertise with Jamf Pro administration, server maintenance, scripting, and coordination with internal IT teams to ensure platform stability and compliance.

  • The role involves supporting a highly regulated BFSI environment governed by RBI guidelines, internal audit requirements, and information security frameworks.
  • The Resident Engineer will ensure Jamf infrastructure aligns with regulatory expectations around endpoint security, logging, audit readiness, and change governance.
  • The position requires strict adherence to banking-grade operational discipline, documentation standards, and controlled change processes.


Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 2 operational support for Jamf Pro on-premise environment
  • Perform Jamf Pro application upgrades, including: Pre-upgrade checks, Upgrade execution, Post-upgrade validation and rollback planning
  • Manage Jamf Pro database operations, including: Regular database backups, Restore and recovery activities, Database health monitoring
  • Execute Jamf Pro server maintenance activities on a scheduled and ad-hoc basis, including: OS patching, Service restarts, Certificate renewals, Performance monitoring
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts (Shell / Bash) for: macOS management, Policy execution, Compliance and reporting
  • Administer and support Jamf Connect, including: Authentication workflows, Directory integrations, Troubleshooting login issues
  • Support Apple ecosystem management, including: macOS lifecycle management, iOS/iPadOS fundamentals, Apple Business Manager (ABM) integrations
  • Coordinate with internal IT teams of the customer, such as: Infrastructure, Network, Security, Service Desk
  • Troubleshoot Jamf-related issues and perform root cause analysis
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise standards, security baselines, and change management processes
  • Maintain technical documentation and SOPs for Jamf operations
  • Ensure compliance with RBI Cyber Security Framework (CSF) requirements applicable to endpoint management.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation, including change logs, patch reports, access controls, and upgrade records.
  • Implement and monitor endpoint security policies aligned to banking standards (device encryption, password policies, OS hardening, logging).
  • Ensure strict adherence to change management approvals prior to upgrades, patches, or configuration modifications.
  • Support SIEM integration (if applicable) to ensure log forwarding and monitoring compliance.
  • Ensure segregation of duties and secure credential management practices.


Qualifications

  • Jamf 200 certification or higher (Jamf 300 preferred)
  • Strong hands-on experience with Jamf Pro On-Premise deployments
  • Proven expertise in: Jamf Pro upgrade planning and execution, Jamf Pro database backup and restore, Jamf Pro server maintenance
  • Solid scripting skills (Shell / Bash; Python is a plus)
  • Good working knowledge of: Jamf Connect, macOS internals and Apple ecosystem
  • Understanding of: Certificates (SSL/TLS), LDAP / AD / Entra ID integrations, Enterprise IT processes
  • Strong communication and coordination skills for working with multiple IT teams
  • Ability to work independently as a Resident Engineer in a customer environment
  • Understanding of RBI Cyber Security Framework (CSF) and banking regulatory expectations.
  • Knowledge of endpoint hardening standards applicable to BFSI environments.
  • Experience supporting regulated environments (Banking / NBFC / Financial Services) preferred.
  • Familiarity with audit documentation and evidence preparation for compliance reviews.


Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Apple device management
  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with Jamf Pro on-premise support


Preferred Skills

  • Experience with enterprise security baselines (CIS, compliance policies)
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and log analysis
  • Exposure to ITIL processes and change management
  • Experience working as a Resident Engineer in a regulated enterprise environment is strongly preferred.
  • Prior exposure to audit interactions, compliance reporting, and regulated change processes is an advantage.


Operational Clause:

  • Candidates must be willing to undergo background verification as per banking industry norms.
  • Strict adherence to confidentiality and data protection policies is mandatory.
  • Work may require alignment with bank working hours, including scheduled maintenance windows during off-business hours.


Pay range and compensation package

  • L1: INR 6 Lakh per annum
  • L2: INR 9 Lakh per annum
