We at Accolade Electronics are on the look-out for a highly motivated and experienced Sr. RF Engineer to join our team to Design, development, testing, and optimization of RF solutions for IoT and automotive telematics products.

Job Description

• Hands-on design and development of IoT products and automotive telematics solutions.
• Design, test, and troubleshoot GSM, GPS, Wi-Fi, BLE, and Bluetooth modules and circuits.
• Develop and optimize antenna design, tuning, and placement within compact embedded devices.
• Familiarity with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD) for schematic capture and layout review.
• Use appropriate evaluation tools and development kits to assess module performance, signal quality, and system-level behaviour.
• Perform RF measurements, debugging, and validation using advanced test and simulation equipment.
• Support module selection, vendor coordination, and benchmarking of RF performance.
• Liaise with global wireless module vendors (e.g., Quectel, u-blox, Sierra Wireless) for sourcing and integration.
• Work with suppliers for module / chipset integration, testing, and qualification.
• Apply knowledge of GNSS multi-constellation systems for enhanced positioning solutions.
• Analyze, debug, and resolve RF issues related to interference, noise, sensitivity, and range limitations.
• Work with and implement relevant network protocols (e.g., TCP / IP, UDP, MQTT, HTTP / HTTPS) for connectivity and data transfer within wireless systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with industry standards.
• Keep abreast of emerging RF technologies and standards relevant to the company’s products and advise management on upgrades or design changes.
• Support cost optimization efforts by evaluating alternative components and proposing design improvements.
• Communicate project status, technical risks, and mitigation plans to project managers and stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Support root-cause failure analysis and provide corrective measures for field returns and production-level RF issues.
• Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, test reports, and design validation plans as per project and quality requirements.
