Job Description

The Capital Markets role is a part for the private portfolio. Lead for capital markets and corp dev - helping portfolio companies in IPO planning, capital raising, M&A and realising synergies through collaboration with sister portfolio companies and global corporations looking to invest in India.

1.Transaction Advisory

• Support Companies and Managing Directors in driving select capital raising and exit transactions end to end
• Work with Companies, investment team members and analysts to refine the collateral for each transactionCraft the positioning for each company factoring in global insights and the Indian competitive landscapeSupport companies to develop and refine their presentations and modelsIdentify relevant analysis and information to track well ahead of any transaction and make sure the same is ready in data war-rooms
• Guide founders and provide a follow-on investor's / buyer's perspective into each transaction based on insights from strategic engagement (above)
• Identify challenges ahead of time to ensure smooth transaction execution
• Be the interface for the company and its portfolio companies when working with external advisors in a transaction supporting these advisors to achieve their objectives.

2. Strategic Engagement & Portfolio Advisory

• Meet and develop strong relationships across the ecosystem including but not limited to later stage investors, investment bankers, Private Equity funds, potential LPs, corporate development groups and business teams at larger companies
• Periodic engagement with the Portfolio Team on portfolio performance
• Drive deep engagement for follow-on investors across the portfolio
• Support select portfolio companies in their growth strategy through identification, assessment and execution of potential M&A, investments / divestiture opportunities
• Provide strategy and business development support to the portfolio when necessary

The Successful Applicant

• Pedigree - MBA / Master's from a top-tier institute
• Experience - 2-3 Years of Investment Banking experience
• Transactions experience at a top tier investment bank with at least 5-6 deals in IPO / M&A.
• Exposure to global investor pool is a plus
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Hands-on experience in financial modelling, business analysis, competitive benchmarking
• Strong leadership and management experience
