Overall Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to monitor and maintain operational security controls and governance measures in relation to the security toolsets utilised by the Security Operations function in accordance with M&G Plc Security Policy.

Primary Key Responsibilities (Top 3-5 KRA)

  • Support process improvement initiatives including improving service and cost effectiveness.
  • Supporting projects in the delivery of security operations toolsets into the M&G
  • environment
  • Maintain Security Operations portfolio of products it leverages to run the function are operational and health checked on an on-going basis in line with agreed KPI’s.

Additional Responsibilities :

  • Raising vendor support cases and seeing them through to resolution
  • Maintaining and updating a knowledgebase and SOP’s
  • Provide daily and scheduled monitoring of security events.
  • investigate and remediate activities and communicate findings to Security Operations Tooling team
  • Ensure Security Operations controls are operated effectively in line with control landscape

  • Highly organised, excellent prioritisation and planning skills
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team, whilst working on multiple items at the same time.
  • Passion for innovation and creating solutions that make a positive difference.
  • You’re willing to take responsibility, creating better outcomes by stepping forward, using your judgement and making things happen.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar are preferred.
