Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Lead Engineer who can lead the team and provides solutions across multiple initiatives in Legacy systems. Will be involved in designing and developing the applications that are scalable, secure, performant, resilient, high available and maintainable. The candidate should have a strong technology background who is proficient at designing and developing the legacy systems. They should also possess excellent leadership and problem-solving skills. The candidate will act as the primary interface with business partners.

Responsibilities

A candidate approximately having 7 -12 years of experience in Application support maintenance and enhancements using Informix 4GL,ESQL-C C Programming, CISAM

Strong communication negotiation skills and interpersonal capabilities like leading a discussion between multiple teams stakeholders as well as concluding the same to a logical end

Interpret business requirements and translate them into design solutions. Ensures delivered solutions are realized in timeframe committed. Build strong relationship and influence on team members.

Be Hands on design, development, testing and deployment of software applications / Reconciliations supporting the business.

Supports change implementations, proactively identifies and resolves potential issues resulting from the changes for the applications. ensure the changes are properly documented and communicated to stakeholders.

Contribute to build a strong techno-functional team.

Ability to Create and maintain system, functional and reference documentation.

Participate in scrum teams working on sprints and ensure on time delivery with high quality.

Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects.

Refractor existing code to enhance readability, performance, and general structure.

Skills

Strong in application program development using the Informix ESQLC and C language

Good understanding of Unix / Linux operating system and Unix command

Good in writing Unix shell script and Awk script

Strong SQL databases experience and write complex SQL queries

Knowledge of SCCS for source control knowledge of make file setup for application compilation and deployment

Strong analytical problemsolving skills

Hands on experience in C language and CISAM for accessing updating files

Hands on experience in multithreadingfork programing in c language

Hands on experience in programing to handle ISO 8583 IFSFInternational Forecourt Standards Forum Protocol

Ability to handle complex multitier system and do end to end design

Ability to handle tasks from designing application to deployment to test production server

Proactive individual with strong verbal and written communication skills and should be able to work independently
