Job descriptionDevelop and maintain Domain APIs hosted on AWS EKS and / or Lambda . Design and implement microservices architecture following Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles. Troubleshoot complex technical issues across distributed systems and ensure optimal system performance. Implement non-functional requirements such as authorization, access control, performance, and resilience. Track, measure, and optimize API performance metrics using monitoring and alerting tools. Devise and implement effective API versioning strategies . Contribute to building automated test suites for interoperability and regression testing. Provide technical leadership to developers, ensuring adherence to coding standards, scalability, and security. Collaborate with BAs, Product Owners, Scrum Masters , and stakeholders for requirements analysis and delivery. Participate in defect triage , root cause analysis, and go-live support . Maintain clear documentation and assist in system design discussions. 5+ years of experience developing APIs in distributed systems using Java / Kotlin . Strong understanding of REST and SOAP integration patterns. Proficiency in JSON, XML , and API serialization techniques. Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases – MongoDB, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, and S3. Experience with messaging services – AWS SQS, AWS SNS, RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc. Solid understanding of AWS services , particularly EKS and Lambda . Knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation. Experience creating logs, alerts, and dashboards for visualization and troubleshooting. Good understanding of API security standards – OAuth, SSO, JWT, and encryption. Knowledge of API Gateways and management best practices. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Understanding of OpenAPI Specifications (OAS) or ACORD NGDS is an added advantage.
