Storage & Backup Administrator

Description : Role Overview :

We are hiring a Storage and Backup Administrator with over 7 years of experience to design, implement, and maintain robust backup and storage infrastructures. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with backup tools like Cohesity, Avamar, Commvault, and possess strong technical knowledge of storage systems (SAN / NAS), cloud storage, and virtualization technologies. This is a critical role supporting enterprise data protection, disaster recovery, and storage optimization initiatives across on-premises and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise backup and recovery solutions using tools such as Cohesity, Avamar, and Commvault.
• Administer and monitor storage systems including SAN, NAS, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage).
• Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting mechanisms using tools like AppDynamics and Splunk to ensure optimal storage and backup performance.
• Perform regular backups, restorations, and conduct disaster recovery tests to validate business continuity plans.
• Monitor backup job status, address failures, and optimize backup schedules and storage usage.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to align storage and backup solutions with organizational standards and compliance requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to backup failures, storage capacity, latency, or performance degradation.
• Participate in capacity planning, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning of backup and storage systems.
• Document operational procedures, system configurations, and recovery plans.
