Job description

Key Responsibilities :

  • Distribution Management :
  • Develop and implement a regional distribution strategy to meet sales targets and company goals.
  • Identify and onboard new distributors and channel partners in line with company objectives.
  • Ensure proper distribution coverage across the region and optimize the supply chain for efficiency.
  • Regularly review distributor performance and ensure alignment with sales targets and company policies.
  • Channel Sales Strategy & Execution :
  • Develop and execute effective channel sales programs to maximize product reach and market penetration.
  • Drive growth in key markets through strong relationships with existing and new channel partners.
  • Implement training programs for distributors and sales teams to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to adjust strategies and improve performance.
  • Relationship Management :
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key distributors, dealers, and retailers.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all regional channel-related issues and concerns.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns to support channel sales.
  • Team Leadership & Development :
  • Lead and motivate a team of sales executives and regional sales managers to achieve sales objectives.
  • Set clear performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide necessary coaching and training.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the sales team.
  • Reporting & Analysis :
  • Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, reports, and action plans to senior management.
  • Monitor and control channel sales budgets and expenses to ensure profitability.
  • Track KPIs and analyze sales performance against targets, taking corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in sales, with at least 3–5 years in a regional or managerial role in distribution and channel sales.
  • Proven experience managing distribution networks and achieving sales growth.
  • Strong knowledge of channel sales dynamics, dealer / retailer management, and market development.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM software, MS Office, and other sales tools.
  • Preferred Skills :

  • Experience in [specific industry, e.g., FMCG, Consumer Electronics, Pharmaceuticals, etc.].
  • Expertise in handling distributor conflicts and negotiating agreements.
  • Ability to analyze market data and devise strategies based on insights.
