Key Responsibilities :
- Distribution Management :
- Develop and implement a regional distribution strategy to meet sales targets and company goals.
- Identify and onboard new distributors and channel partners in line with company objectives.
- Ensure proper distribution coverage across the region and optimize the supply chain for efficiency.
- Regularly review distributor performance and ensure alignment with sales targets and company policies.
- Channel Sales Strategy & Execution :
- Develop and execute effective channel sales programs to maximize product reach and market penetration.
- Drive growth in key markets through strong relationships with existing and new channel partners.
- Implement training programs for distributors and sales teams to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Monitor and analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to adjust strategies and improve performance.
- Relationship Management :
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key distributors, dealers, and retailers.
- Act as the main point of contact for all regional channel-related issues and concerns.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns to support channel sales.
- Team Leadership & Development :
- Lead and motivate a team of sales executives and regional sales managers to achieve sales objectives.
- Set clear performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide necessary coaching and training.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the sales team.
- Reporting & Analysis :
- Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, reports, and action plans to senior management.
- Monitor and control channel sales budgets and expenses to ensure profitability.
- Track KPIs and analyze sales performance against targets, taking corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).7+ years of experience in sales, with at least 3–5 years in a regional or managerial role in distribution and channel sales.Proven experience managing distribution networks and achieving sales growth.Strong knowledge of channel sales dynamics, dealer / retailer management, and market development.Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.Familiarity with CRM software, MS Office, and other sales tools.Preferred Skills :
Experience in [specific industry, e.g., FMCG, Consumer Electronics, Pharmaceuticals, etc.].Expertise in handling distributor conflicts and negotiating agreements.Ability to analyze market data and devise strategies based on insights.Skills Required
