Job description

Job Purpose :

Responsible for driving sales growth and market penetration within the modern trade segment for the South & West region and Pan India eventually. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution to achieve business objectives across sales operations, commercial activities, and trade marketing.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Sales Strategy and Execution :
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for modern trade channels to achieve revenue targets.
  • Lead the identification of key accounts, negotiate agreements, and manage relationships with major retail chains.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to optimize sales strategies.
  • Commercial and Trade Marketing :
  • Drive promotional activities, trade marketing campaigns, and merchandising initiatives to increase brand visibility and sales volumes.
  • Analyze sales data and market insights to develop pricing strategies and promotional offers.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop impactful marketing materials and POS displays for modern trade partners.
  • Operational Excellence :
  • Oversee all operational aspects related to modern trade sales, including forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to streamline operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Relationship Management :
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including retailers, distributors, and internal teams.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to enhance brand presence and business opportunities.
  • Team Leadership and Development :
  • Manage a team of modern trade executives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to develop a high-performance sales team.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, set objectives, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
