AS400 System Specialist

Job Summary

The role of an AS400 Systems Specialist involves maintaining and managing the entire AS400 environment, including scheduling application jobs for financial and manufacturing processes.

• Key Responsibilities :
• Manage and maintain the AS400 system, ensuring it operates efficiently and effectively.
• Schedule application jobs to meet the requirements of financial and manufacturing processes.
• Create and maintain RPG programs and CL programs to enhance system functionality.
• Work with AS400 queries, SQL, and FTP processes to optimize data transfer and retrieval.
• Lead analysis on business procedures, needs, and problems to identify areas for improvement.
• Plan and prepare documentation of system development and functioning to ensure transparency and accountability.

Requirements :

To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong understanding of RPG and CL programming languages, as well as familiarity with job scheduling, Robot Scheduling, and MacPac ERP.
