Job description

We are looking for an ambitious, energetic and detail oriented General Manager for Business Development and sales for APIs and Intermediates to help us expand our business and lay a strong foundation for long term growth with an effective and sustainable business development and sales strategy. The candidate should be persuasive and have strong business acumen.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement a growth strategy focused on API and Advance Intermediates.
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customers.
  • Focus on and build relationship with Customers and Agents.
  • Identify emerging trends and new opportunities for implementation with a detailed plan.
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships to help business grow.
  • Provide trustworthy feedback.
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Preparing of all documentation required for requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Be an able and willing mentor for freshers, executives and other staff to mould them as ideal employees and maximize their potential.

Requirements and Skills :

  • Proven track record and working experience as a business development manager.
  • Good access to a vast network of professionals across the pharma industry.
  • Familiarity with various target markets around the world : including US, Europe and Emerging markets like MENA, South America, East Asia and Central Asia.
  • Working knowledge of technical aspects related to API and Intermediates useful for the purpose of business development activities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills along with deep market knowledge.
  • Excellent time management and planning skills.
  • Proven trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
  • At least 25 years of experience in the Pharma industry or relevant fields.
  • MBA in a relevant field or Post graduation from a reputed educational institution.
