Job Purpose :

The position is responsible for assisting with monthly financial close, reporting, and analysis. The Staff Accountant prepares monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, monthly P-L reports, and other general accounting tasks.

Essential Functions

Prepare journal entries for financial close (25%) Reconcile General Ledger accounts (25%) Maintain and analyze supporting schedules and subledgers (20%) Work with analysts and accounting team to provide information, research issues and provide support (10%) Analysis and departmental information requests (10%) Other Miscellaneous projects (10%)

Education

Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Basic knowledge of accounting procedures, internal controls, and accounting principals Analytical skills, research capability, and attention to detail Microsoft Office; Excel spreadsheet, Word documents Effective work management and organizational skills Ability to work under tight deadlines and perform multiple tasks
