Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior Lead – AI Engineer who is passionate about building real-world AI products that go beyond traditional ML modeling. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with cutting-edge AI coding tools such as Cursor and Windsurf , and capable of leading development efforts for new AI-powered solutions and internal automation frameworks.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in AI application development , prompt engineering , agentic AI , and workflow automation , rather than pure research or data modeling.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and deployment of new AI-driven products and platforms.
Architect and implement AI-powered applications , using modern AI coding tools like Cursor , Windsurf , and related AI development environments.
Build, integrate, and optimize AI agents , workflows , and automation pipelines for business use cases.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Marketing Tech, and Data Science) to translate business requirements into functional AI solutions.
Stay ahead of emerging AI tools, APIs, and frameworks to incorporate them into Xerago's innovation roadmap.
Mentor junior AI engineers and promote AI best practices across the organization.
Contribute to rapid prototyping, proof-of-concept development, and production-grade deployment of AI applications.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in AI / Software Engineering, with 3+ years in AI application or product development .

Proven hands-on experience using AI coding tools like Cursor , Windsurf , and other AI-assisted development platforms.

Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or Node.js , with exposure to AI SDKs, APIs, and frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Anthropic, etc.).

Experience building AI-powered agents , chatbots , or workflow automation systems .

Excellent understanding of AI prompt design , context management , and AI application architecture .

Familiarity with LLM integration , vector databases , and AI-driven content or marketing applications .

Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
