What Your Role Entails
An Aeroacoustics simulation engineer focuses on predicting the Noise & vibration level and improving the overall product noise level. primarily through simulation tools like Actran & Ansys. Nastran, & Hypermesh . The roles and responsibilities involve developing NVH Aeroacoustics models, correlating simulations results with test data, and optimizing designs to minimize noise and vibration. Fan Noise simulation for the fluid flow and using acoustic analogies to determine the sound generated by the blade’s profile.
What You’ll Do :
- Noise reduction on cooling fans by optimizing the blade Aerofoil profile
- Acoustics analysis report with design recommendations, these reports document the analysis of noise sources, their characteristics, and potential solutions.
- Using simulations to find the best configurations for noise and vibration reduction, such as vibration isolators, tuned mass dampers, etc.
- Participate in physical testing activities to validate the accuracy of their simulations and ensure their design recommendations are effective.
- Actively seek opportunities to improve the software tools, methodologies, and processes used for aeroacoustics analysis and mitigation.
- Will be working on the Cooling fan, Compressor noise reduction, sheet metal components and various acoustic materials.
Your success is grounded in
B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical Eng, Automobile Eng, Applied PhysicsMin 6 years relevant experiencePerform NVH Simulation activities and deliver validated results with respect to design targets using CAE Tools Actran, Ansys Hyperworks etc.Create finite element models of individual parts using appropriate preprocessing tools to meet accepted best practicesUse CFD tools coupled with acoustic solvers to predict the noise level of cooling Fan, and set up computational domains, meshing, boundary condition, and run transient simulations to capture acoustic phenomena.Analyze simulation results to identify the Noise sources in terms of sound pressure levels, directivity pattern, and Frequency spect.Simulate modal analysis as a system & individual parts to identify the natural frequency, mode shape & Damping characteristicsSet NVH targets for the HVAC products and prepare NVH target achievement plan (Cooling Fan, Compressor, tubes & Structural parts)Perform Noise Transfer Function (NTF) & Vibration Transfer Function (VTF) and use various Acoustic materials.Solve High / Mid / Low-Frequency issues in Component, sheet metal, Full system Levels (Vibration & Acoustics)Correlate simulation results with experimental data for further refinementCollaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to design complex HVAC products and systems to meet functional requirements for acoustics and vibration performancePerform optimization studies to make continuous improvement in performance requirements of structures.Perform automation activities to drive CAE lead time reductionInterested candidates can also drop your resume to randdrecruiter@bluestarindia.com with the brief on the projects worked.
