Commissioning Manager

About the role

We have a 12 month opportunity for a  Commissioning Manager to join our Asset Commissioning team based in Leederville. You’ll work with assigned project teams and manage asset testing and commissioning in accordance with Water Corporation’s Commissioning Guidelines. Projects may be in various Metro and Regional Locations. This role will report to the Team Leader Asset Commissioning and may involve periodic regional travel and site attendance.

What the role will involve

• Represent the Water Corporation as the Principal’s Commissioning Manager in Major Capital Projects
• Ensure the Performance and Functional requirements for new assets have been identified, tested safely & results are reported to the Asset Owner
• Review of design and tender, and functional review of SCADA & control systems
• Supervision of field test sessions by co-ordination of technical teams undertaking commissioning tests, and report preparation
• Preparation and review of commissioning plans, procedures, test plans and reviewing schedules
• Preparation and review of asset handover documents to the project team

Key skills and experience

You’ll have a qualification in Engineering or related discipline, along with substantial experience with project management, design and / or operation of water treatment or pumping assets. Knowledge of water and wastewater SCADA and control systems is highly desirable. Your ability to collaborate, negotiate and influence with both internal and external stakeholders will ensure success in this role.
