Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Mumbai (at Kalaghoda) for a Sales & Business Development Executive. The role involves day-to-day tasks such as new business development, lead generation, managing client accounts, and building strong communication channels to support and enhance business growth. The executive will also be responsible for developing strategies to attract new clients and maintain relationships with existing clients.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect, qualify and close new employer accounts (start-ups to mid market).
Sell job postings, featured listings, and premium subscription products.
Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline using CRM; follow structured outreach (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn).
Run product demos and explain ROI of the platform to hiring managers and HR leaders.
Negotiate commercial terms and close contracts with clear SLAs and payment follow-ups.
Onboard new clients.
Maintain renewals and upsell existing clients to higher-tier plans.
Hit weekly / monthly targets and report sales activity and forecasts.
Qualifications
1-4 years in B2B sales / business development (preferred : recruitment tech, job portals, HR SaaS, or staffing).
Skills in New Business Development and Lead Generation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable presenting to HR leaders and hiring managers.
Demonstrable record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
Self-starter, resilent, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
Nice to have
Experience selling subscription or marketplace-based products.
Network within recruitment teams or HR companies.
Degree in Business, Marketing, or similar.
1-2 years in B2B sales / business development (preferred : recruitment tech, job portals, HR SaaS, or staffing).
KPIs / targets
New accounts acquired (monthly / quarterly)
Revenue / ARR from new business and renewals
Conversion rate from demo - closed deal
