Position Title : Staff Software Engineer

Job Description :

We are seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer with deep expertise in full stack development, Kafka integration, and distributed systems architecture to join our dynamic team. This is a senior, hands-on technical role with architect-level responsibilities, including designing scalable, reliable, data-intensive systems, driving technical roadmap decisions, mentoring teams, and ensuring operational excellence in production systems.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and enhance cloud-native web applications used by thousands of users across North America to manage and execute promotions in the merchandising portfolio.
• Continuously enhance and scale existing promotion tools to support business growth and evolving organizational needs.
• Architect and implement scalable, distributed systems to ensure high performance, reliability, and security.
• Lead complex, cross-functional projects involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Drive technical roadmap, POCs, and design discussions for backend and integration solutions.
• Ensure system stability, health, and high availability, proactively identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving critical issues while driving long-term improvements in performance and reliability.
• Define and enforce best practices for code quality, unit / integration test coverage (JUnit, TestNG), and security standards across services.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering best practices and technical excellence.
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, and DevOps teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
