Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize high-performance ETL / ELT pipelines using Snowflake, Python, and cloud-native tools.
- Implement and automate data ingestion using Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks.
- Utilize SnowSQL for query development, data loading / unloading, and administrative tasks.
- Design and manage data models, schemas, and warehouses following Snowflake’s best practices.
- Leverage Time Travel and Cloning features for data recovery, auditing, and testing.
- Optimize query performance through clustering, micro-partitioning, and result caching.
- Manage user roles, security policies, and data governance within Snowflake.
- Orchestrate workflows using Airflow, DBT, or Matillion and integrate with CI / CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with DevOps and analytics teams for data delivery, monitoring, and optimization.
Required Skills & Expertise
5+ years of experience in Data Engineering with strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake Cloud Data Platform and Python.Proficient in Snowflake components & features :SnowSQL, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning, Query Optimization, Virtual Warehouses, Resource Monitors, Data Sharing, and Data Marketplace.Strong SQL programming skills and experience in ETL design, data transformation, and performance tuning.Experience with AWS Preferred or other major cloud platforms.Hands-on with Git-based version control and agile data delivery practices.Familiarity with semi-structured data (JSON, Parquet, Avro) and data warehousing concepts.Excellent analytical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills.
