Job Description
A TM1 Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing IBM Planning Analytics (formerly TM1) solutions to support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and business acumen to create effective planning solutions. Need a candidate with hands-on skills
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop TM1 applications and models to meet business requirements
- Create and maintain TurboIntegrator (TI) processes for data integration and automation
- Develop complex TM1 rules and calculations to support business logic
- Optimize system performance and ensure data integrity across TM1 applications
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Design and implement data integration strategies between TM1 and source systems
- Create and maintain documentation for TM1 applications, models, and processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to TM1 applications
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
- Stay current with IBM Planning Analytics updates and best practices
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field5+ years of experience in TM1 / IBM Planning Analytics development and architectureStrong understanding of TM1 architecture, including dimensions, cubes, and processesProficiency in TurboIntegrator (TI) scripting and TM1 RulesExperience with MDX queries and advanced TM1 functionsKnowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processesExperience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processesStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsPreferred Qualifications
IBM Planning Analytics / TM1 certificationExperience with IBM Cognos Analytics or other BI toolsExperience with AlteryxKnowledge of SQL and database design principlesExperience with PAX (Planning Analytics for Excel)Understanding of dimensional modeling and star schema designExperience with Agile development methodologiesProject management experienceAdditional Information
