Business Analyst

Summary

The ideal candidate will play a role in the development of multiple parts of the business by analyzing past, current, and future business trends. This individual will establish strategies and solutions to achieve desired outcomes and implement these solutions. He / She will often work cross functionally with internal business units in order to understand the challenges that these teams are facing and provide solutions to these groups.

Essential Job Functions

Engages with clients and business partners to understand workflows and needs.

Work along with the Subject Matter Experts in the Alternative Assets, Private Credit Market to carry out analysis

Conduct Current State vs Future State Assessments of business systems.

Designs with actionable acceptance criteria.

Breaks down complex business problems by understanding business needs and crafting an understanding of how digital solutions meet those needs.

Influences and understands the priority of components to complete a program.

Analyze and document current business and system interrelation workflows.

Identifies opportunities to meet project objectives and makes recommendations for future approaches to achieve business outcomes.

Supports activities of other team members when required.

Diagnosing the complexities of Alternative Asset Operations related to the conclusion of projects.

Bring Techno-Functional expertise to combine functional knowledge in brainstorming solutions with the technical team .

Be able to carry out data analysis and work have good understanding of database and data warehouse concepts.

Mandatory Requirement on Domain Understanding :

Private Equity Fund Operations : Private Equity fund accounting cycle, Deal lifecycle. Understanding of compliance and regulations governing Private Equity fund accounting, PE Portfolio tracking and performance.

Alternative Investment Management : Private Credit, Alternative investment strategies, Understanding of Asset Classes

End-to-End Fund Accounting processes

Capital Markets Expertise : Demonstrate a deep understanding of Capital Markets, specifically in Private Credit and Private Equity.

Candidate Profile

8-15 years of Experience.

Master's degree in business, Finance, or a related field.

Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

This role requires good client-facing skills.

Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the alternative asset and capital market with a focus on Private Credit and Private Equity Fund Operations.

Strong Expertise in using SQL for data analysis.

Hands-on experience with enterprise systems like Fund Accounting (Investran,) MDM tool (Semarchy), and Salesforce CRM.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in fund accounting and reporting.

A good knowledge of any ALM tool like JIRA, Rally, Azure Boards etc.

Should be able to work in distributed Agile team development environment.

Leadership & Collaboration :

Exceptional problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities in high-pressure, dynamic environments.

Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver large-scale data initiatives.

Strong client engagement and communication skills, fostering alignment and trust with stakeholders.

Preferred Education and Certifications

A relevant certification from a reputed institute or agency

A good knowledge of any ALM tool like JIRA, Rally, Azure Boards etc.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees (MBA, MS in Computer Science, or related fields) preferred.
