About the Role

We are seeking a skilled DataStage Administrator to join our dynamic data engineering team in Chennai. This role is ideal for professionals with strong experience in managing IBM Infosphere DataStage environments and a passion for optimizing enterprise data workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and maintain IBM Infosphere DataStage environments using Designer, Director, and Administrator tools

Monitor, schedule, and troubleshoot ETL jobs and job sequences

Perform performance tuning and resource optimization for large-scale data processing

Manage user roles, access controls, and security configurations

Handle backup, recovery, and migration of DataStage projects and metadata

Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for deployments and upgrades

Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides

Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

5.8–9 years of hands-on experience in DataStage administration

Strong proficiency in UNIX / Linux systems and shell scripting

Solid understanding of database technologies (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server)

Experience with job performance tuning and error resolution

Familiarity with version control tools (Git, SVN)

Excellent analytical and communication skills

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field

Preferred Skills

Experience with IBM Information Server suite (Quality Stage, Metadata Workbench)

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI / CD pipelines
