About Better Basics
Better Basics is an Indian slow fashion brand. We create thoughtfully designed, high-quality essential clothing. Our products are designed in-house, produced at our facility in Noida, and sold online.
We are looking for a sharp, organised, and driven Operations and Customer Experience Associate to help scale our backend operations as we grow. This is a high-ownership role with a potential to leading all operations down the line. You will work directly with the founder and our factory team to make sure production, fulfilment, and customer-facing operations run smoothly as we scale.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Execution
- Coordinate daily order fulfilment, returns, and inventory updates
- Work closely with the factory manager to align fabric availability, order timelines, and production tracking
- Flag operational bottlenecks early and solve for delays, errors, or system gaps
- Own backend updates on Shopify (order edits, returns, inventory, analytics)
- Maintain trackers and reports across orders, returns, production status, and material movement
Customer Experience (CX)
Handle operational customer queries via WhatsApp, email, and social DMs—returns, delays, size issues, etc.Track recurring customer pain points and suggest process improvementsEnsure fast, clear, and friendly responses while maintaining a high standard of customer communicationCoordinate with the factory and founder to resolve escalations quickly and transparentlyCross-functional Coordination
Liaise between factory, delivery partners, vendors, and external freelancersAssist in planning and executing restocks and new product launchesQualifications / Requirements
2+ years of experience in operations, consulting, e-commerce, or early-stage startupsQuick learner and adaptability in the workplaceHighly organised and process-driven, someone who can bring structure to chaosDetail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skillsComfortable coordinating with factory teams, vendors, and logistics providersBias for action—you take ownership, spot issues before they snowball, and solve independentlyFamiliar with Shopify, Excel / Google SheetsBonus : Experience working in fashion, and working with customer support tools, returns processing, courier aggregatorsAdded Benefits
