Sr. Manager - EHV Substation Design

Job descriptionCoordinate with project management, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure design milestones are met. Support project tendering with technical inputs and assist in bid clarifications. Liaise with clients, consultants, and OEMs for design approvals and technical discussions. Manage, mentor, and develop a multi-disciplinary design team of engineers and draftsmen. Conduct regular design reviews and quality checks. Facilitate knowledge sharing and training initiatives. Implement and maintain quality assurance processes within the design function. Ensure compliance with contractual and statutory requirements. Conduct risk assessments related to design and propose mitigation measures. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline Professional certifications such as PMP or relevant substation design courses are desirable
Key Responsibilities :
Technical Leadership & Design Management
- Lead and supervise the detailed design of EHV substations (AIS / GIS) including equipment layouts, single line diagrams, protection and control schemes, and grounding systems.
- Ensure designs meet relevant standards such as IS, IEC, IEEE, and CEA guidelines.
- Oversee preparation and review of technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Guide design optimization for cost-effectiveness, reliability, and ease of construction.
