As the Assistant Executive Housekeeper at Merlis Coimbatore, you will play a key role in ensuring that the hotel maintains its reputation for impeccable cleanliness, organization, and aesthetic appeal. You will assist the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing daily housekeeping operations, supervising the team, managing inventory, and upholding the brand’s high standards for hygiene and presentation. Duties and Responsibilities Operational Oversight
- Supervise daily housekeeping operations in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are consistently met.
- Conduct regular inspections and coordinate corrective actions for any deficiencies.
- Plan and manage housekeeping schedules, ensuring coverage for peak periods and special events.
Team Supervision and Development
Lead, train, and motivate housekeeping staff, fostering teamwork and accountability.Conduct daily briefings and ensure all staff are informed of priorities, special requests, and safety guidelines.Support staff development through cross-training and performance feedback.Inventory and Resource Management
Oversee the procurement, storage, and usage of cleaning supplies, linen, and guest amenities.Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure cost-effective use of materials.Coordinate with the Purchase Department for timely replenishment of supplies.Guest Experience and Service Quality
Ensure guest rooms are always presented at the highest standard, with attention to detail in amenities, cleanliness, and overall presentation.Address guest feedback and requests promptly, ensuring satisfaction and retention.Work closely with the Front Office and Maintenance teams for room readiness and quick turnaround.Compliance and Safety
Enforce adherence to hygiene, sanitation, and safety protocols as per hotel and statutory standards.Monitor laundry operations to ensure linen quality and turnaround times are maintained.Implement sustainable housekeeping practices to reduce environmental impact.Continuous Improvement
Participate in regular audits to identify improvement areas in housekeeping processes.Recommend new technologies, products, or methods that enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction.Support the Executive Housekeeper in developing operational strategies for excellence in service delivery.
