ROLE DESCRIPTION
Build and maintain strong connection with clients, and understand real needs of different clients & partners, and apply different approaches and value propositions.
Organizing, structuring and coordinating all related internal works from different areas, to address partners’ concerns and requests.
Managing complex and different clients’ expectations and changing priorities.
Handling highly sensitive information related to projects of Vale and partners / clients.
Agility to manage constantly changing priorities from clients and Vale.
Perseverance and resilience in handling challenging problems and tough questions from clients / Vale.
Working under multi-task environment with pressures to meet deadlines and client expectations.
Working with an international team of different time zones, and flexibility to travel in / across the region.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work as the technical focal point and external interface from Vale, with close and proactive interactions with Indian partners / steel mills.
To directly interact with steel mills in India to understand steel plants raw material requirements and feedback internally.
To have regular meetings with the steel mills and other stakeholders and make cooperation action plans with steel mills.
Interact with consultants and research agencies in India to understand the domestic iron ore growth and future quality trends and the synergies for Vale ‘s product.
Provide support to areas of technical marketing, Market Intel, Business Development areas on a need basis.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders for feasibility studies on the MoU’s initiated.
Attend various technical conferences and represent Vale at various technical forums in India.
Build collaborative and close relationships with various teams within Vale, to organize and coordinate all the internal work and resources to address client’s request within the given deadline.
Travel at high frequency domestically or across the region.
REQUIREMENTS
Up to 10 years of experience in integrated steel mill with a bachelor’s in metallurgical engineering or equivalent degree.
Strong knowledge in iron ore with experience in any of the process in pelletisation, sintering, blast furnaces, DR shaft furnaces.
High level of autonomy and independent problem-solving skills under complex situation
Very organized and patient in handling the requested job both in detail or at macro level
Strong team spirit, enjoy and promote collaboration across multiple areas and in a multi-cultural environment
Speaking fluent English.
Role is based in Mumbai
