Director of Software Engineering

We are urgently seeking applications for Director of Engineering position for our client, a leading financial institution of India.

A dynamic leadership opportunity for a seasoned technology executive with 22+ years of experience. This role is ideal for a professional with at least 10 years in enterprise application development leadership, expert in Java technologies, microservices , and modern engineering practices .

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership :
• Drive product design, development, and delivery of secure, reliable, and scalable enterprise applications.
• Make technology decisions and control overall product quality.
• Process & Innovation :
• Champion and enhance Software Engineering processes and best practices.
• Promote innovation through Centres of Excellence and rigorous project governance.
• Project & Team Management :
• Oversee project planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
• Provide timely performance feedback and mentor direct reports to maximize their potential.
• Produce periodic and ad-hoc reports for senior leadership.
• Governance & Compliance :
• Ensure adherence to SDLC methodologies (Waterfall / Agile), secure software development practices, and relevant frameworks (CMMi, ITIL).
