Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled L2 - GCP Network Engineer to join our team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical expert with a strong background in implementing, managing, and troubleshooting network infrastructure in a hybrid environment, with a primary focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role is crucial for ensuring the security, scalability, and high availability of our cloud and on-premises network Responsibilities : Network Implementation & Management :

• Design, implement, and deploy cloud network solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Instance Groups (IG), VPC peering, and Google-native Load Balancers.
• Configure and manage Network Virtual Appliances (NVA) using technologies like Cisco FTD and Citrix LBs.
• Manage network security by deploying WAF Cloud Armor Policies, handling SSL certificate renewals, and opening firewall ports in GCP.
• Implement and support hybrid cloud connectivity, including Cloud Interconnect and coordination with external ISP Operations & Troubleshooting :
• Provide expert-level technical support and act as a third-level support engineer for network-related issues.
• Troubleshoot complex network problems between on-premises and GCP cloud infrastructure.
• Act as a SPOC for security scanning and remediation procedures, working closely with the InfoSec team.
• Respond to and resolve P1 incident calls and provide root cause & Security Administration :
• Configure and administer a wide range of network devices, including Cisco routers, Nexus switches, Citrix and F5 Load balancers, and Cisco Firewalls (ASA, FTD, FMC).
• Maintain security standards and implement security benchmarks across cloud environments.
• Participate in internal and external network audits and ensure compliance with regulatory & Leadership :
• Participate in CAB meetings to get approvals for major changes.
• Contribute to capacity planning and provide guidance on new solutions.
• Consult with internal IT customers on cloud migration initiatives.
• Conduct interviews for L2 and L3 network Skills Networking & Protocols :
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP / IP, DNS, SSL / TLS, NTP, and DHCP.
• Extensive experience with routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, VRF, and VX LAN.
• Deep knowledge of VPC, VDC, STP, Port-channel, and Platform Expertise :
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including networking & Vendor Proficiency :
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus switches (9K, 7K, 5K, 2K).
• Strong experience with Cisco ASA Firewall, FTD, and FMC.
• Expertise in load balancing with Citrix Netscaler (SDX, MPX, VPX) or F5 Load & Soft Skills :
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a Skills :
• Experience with Network Automation using languages like Python or Ansible.
• Certifications such as CCNP / CCIE / CCSP, GCP Professional Cloud Network Engineer, or any Citrix Load Balancer certification.
