Teradata Admin / Teradata DBA : (4-6 Years)

Roles and Responsibilities

Experience 4-6 years in Teradata Database Developer and Admin.

Design and Develop solutions based on specifications receive.

Work and collaboration with project teams to meet project expectations.

Propose Technical solutions and adapt to the business needs.

Implement best practices, coding and development culture.

Good exposure in Teradata Development activities.

Should have decent experience in develop Teradata SQL code based on requirement.

Experience in Teradata like BTEQ, Fast load , TPT , Macros and Procedures

Should have experience in Data Modelling.

Perform query tuning and workload management (TASM) using Teradata Viewpoint

Administrator and Optimize Teradata database for High availability and performance.

Manage Database security user access control and auditing.

Automate tasks using Unix shell script or Python

Migrate On-Prem Teradata workload to cloud base environment like Snowflake.

Implement space allocation, indexing, partitioning strategies to improve efficiency.

Must Have Technical Expertise

Teradata Vantage 16.xx or higher, Teradata Utilities (BTEQ and TPT) , Procedures ,

Macros and SQL.

Teradata Workload Management and Data Modelling

Performance tuning, Indexing and Partition Strategies

Teradata User Access , Space management and admin activities

Unix Shell scripting and Python

Snowflake Knowledge

Good To Have

Knowledge in Snowflake / Certification

CI / CD Pipeline

Certifications in Teradata and cloud (Azure or AWS)

ETL tools like DataStage

BI tools like MicroStrategy
