Responsibilities
Assist in the design and project / process management of new and current products,
programs, tools, and equipment under the technical guidance of senior engineers or
management.
Conduct capacity assessments of suppliers to prevent bottlenecks and ensure optimal
supply base sizing.
Execute commodity and supplier Global strategic sourcing strategies.
Contribute to Make vs. Buy decision-making processes.
Develop procedures and perform engineering evaluations, capability studies, quality
audits, data reviews, and other assessments to ensure product manufacturability.
Provide technical assistance in manufacturing and inspection areas.
Monitor data and metrics to identify supply base trends requiring action.
Build and maintain strong relationships and communication with suppliers.
Conduct audits to identify and correct problems and measure quality levels and trends.
Interact with design agencies, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve design,
development, production, and acceptance issues.
Prepare evaluation reports, analyze new technologies, and recommend improvements
for products and supply base adaptation.
Assist in resolving global or strategic issues affecting multiple part families,
commodities, or suppliers to improve productivity, quality, and reduce flowtime.
Qualifications
B.E. or higher in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field with
2+ years of industry experience.
Demonstrated application of analyzing engineering designs and specifications to
achieve efficient and reliable manufacturing or acceptance processes.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with cross-functional
teams daily
