General Summary :
- The candidate will join a dedicated team focused on achieving industry leading power consumption on Qualcomm chipsets, working with a wide set of teams across the company (systems, software, hardware, etc.) to realize solutions.
- In this position, the candidate will be involved in various stages of the power use case modeling, analysis, correlation, and improvement cycles.
Skills / experience :
Recent and relevant experience required in one or more of the following areas :
Application processor Modem Communication systems designExperience in mobile technologies areas (e.g., WAN modem, CPU, camera, , graphics,)Experience in software design, and commercialization of System-level power features is required, and an interest in System and analysis is a must.Solid foundation in Electrical Engineering, with the ability to work with spreadsheets and other custom tools at a detailed level.Other Professional Attributes and Desired Skills :
Systems / HW background with a good understanding of microprocessor and common SoC hardware blocks (Interconnects, Display, Graphics, etc.)5+ years of relevant work experienceResponsibilities :
The candidate is responsible for :
Maintaining and developing chipset level power use case modeling tools and methodologies.Working with the power HW / SW / System teams to collect power use case definition and characteristics.Understanding the hardware architecture / design at a high level and how the power use cases exercise and map to individual HW blocks.Translating the power estimate requests into detailed tasks for end-to-end use case power modeling Analyzing the modeling output, summarizing the results, presenting, and proposing the improvement solutions.Enabling other teams to leverage the tools and methodologies to perform in-depth power analysis.Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. ORMaster's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.ORPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
